3. Assessment of Reading Accuracy (ARA)

The ARA is an assessment of a student’s decoding and reading skills. The ARA is based around 18 new unseen texts written by leading international author Susan Frame – there is one unseen text per Set per Series. The ARA comprises a student sheet containing the unseen text plus a marking and analysis sheet for the teacher. The ARA allows teachers to assess just how well a student has assimilated their phonics knowledge and word blending skills. Each assessment can be downloaded individually when needed, or a complete set can be downloaded using the button below.
